Patrick Shea

Patrick Shea is an Analyst at Watershed Advisors, where he supports initiatives that aim to enhance access to high-quality educational products and services. He brings to this work a long-standing drive to see systems serve the people they are intended to support.

Before joining Watershed, Patrick worked in the international non-profit sector, supporting programs and grants for civil society initiatives in Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. He also supported legal research on child protection legislation across several countries worldwide. Earlier in his career, he worked as a writing tutor, helping students strengthen their writing and editing skills and expanding access to academic support resources.

Patrick holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science and history from Providence College and a Master of Arts in International Relations from American University. His master’s research explored disconnects within funding systems for development and activism projects, a theme that continues to shape his commitment to building more equitable systems. Patrick currently resides in Irvine, CA.
