Lizzie Cossé is a Senior Analyst at Watershed Advisors. She most recently served as the Director of Access Strategy for Early Childhood at the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) where she oversaw innovative initiatives with the goal of increasing access to high quality early care and education around the state. This included efforts to scale the Ready Start Network model in Louisiana and to include home-based family child care providers in the state’s unified quality rating system. Prior to that, she served at the LDOE as the Preschool Development Grant B-5 Manager, overseeing two federal grants worth over $44 million combined.
Before working at the state level, Lizzie served as a school librarian and elementary teacher. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss., and her Master’s in Library and Information Science from Louisiana State University. She lives in her hometown of Baton Rouge, La., with her dog.
