Julia Hahn

Julia Hahn is an analyst at Watershed Advisors, where she supports initiatives to improve early literacy and measurement. She believes high-quality, accessible education can and should provide every child with the support and opportunity to succeed and lead a happy life.

Prior to joining the team at Watershed Advisors, Julia worked as an elementary school teacher in Atlanta, Ga. She also worked for the World Bank Group as a consultant for the World Bank Teachers Thematic Group. In this role, she supported the development of Teach, Coach, and the Teacher Policy Academy.

Julia holds an MA in Education Policy and Analysis from Harvard Graduate School of Education with a concentration in Global, International, and Comparative Education, as well as a BA in Statistics with a concentration in Econometrics and a BSEd. in Youth and Social Innovation with a concentration in Education Policy from University of Virginia. With a passion for data and evidence-based practices, Julia worked as a research assistant throughout her studies exploring education both in and outside of the U.S. Her projects covered topics from teacher policies and practices to early childhood education to student well-being. Julia is originally from Richmond, Va., but now resides in Atlanta, Ga.
