Judith Escuin Checa

Judith Escuin Checa is an Analyst at Watershed Advisors, where she supports Early Childhood Education projects. As a first-generation immigrant and graduate, she is passionate about ensuring that all young people have access to quality education, recognizing it as one of the most powerful drivers of both individual and systemic change.

Prior to joining Watershed, she worked as an Elementary and Middle School STEM teacher near Mission, SD. She also worked as a consultant for the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Tribal Education Department and Rosebud Sioux Tribe Tribal Council, supporting various projects and initiatives focused on community engagement, learning acceleration, curriculum development, policy implementation, and strengthening tribal and educational leadership relations.

Judith holds a B.A. in Political and Administration Sciences from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain, and an M.S. in Political Psychology from Queen’s University Belfast, UK. She currently resides in Duluth, MN.
