Jessica Hight

Jessica Hight is an Analyst at Watershed Advisors, where she supports state governments in turning bold education and workforce ideas into lasting, system-wide change for children, families, and workers. Jessica has experience across diverse fields, including education policy, grassroots advocacy, and qualitative research.

Growing up in North Carolina, Jessica developed a deep appreciation for community-centered growth. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy with a minor in Health & Society and Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following this experience, she served as a Lead Research Assistant at UNC, where she spearheaded qualitative analysis on school culture and equity-focused education research to help inform policy and practice. She is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

In her spare time, Jessica likes to go hiking with her dog, Archie, play video games, and work in nonprofit spaces. She is based in Lincolnton, NC.
