Erin Swanson

Erin Swanson is a Senior Director at Watershed Advisors. She brings deep experience in educational leadership, systems innovation, and strategic planning.

Prior to joining Watershed, she served as Assistant Superintendent for Innovation and Strategic Planning at Edgecombe County Public Schools, where she led districtwide efforts to design and implement innovative school models, cultivate educator leadership, and improve student outcomes through community-driven solutions. Earlier in her career, Erin served as Executive Director at Teach For America, supporting teachers and leaders to expand educational opportunity across the state.

Erin holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Wake Forest University. She also holds a master’s degree in school administration and a doctorate of education from North Carolina State University. She lives in Tarboro, N.C., with her husband and two daughters.
