Delaina LaRocque

Delaina LaRocque is a manager at Watershed Advisors. Prior to joining Watershed, Delaina served as the Chief of Staff for the School Improvement Division at the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE).  In that role, Delaina oversaw the planning and implementation of field-based school improvement strategies and trained field-based teams to support school systems in implementing those strategies.

Delaina previously served as LDOE’s Executive Director of Field Implementation. In that role, she developed and executed statewide professional development institutes, managed and oversaw Louisiana’s “zone” strategy, and supported the Office of Juvenile Justice in implementing school improvement plans for incarcerated students.

Prior to joining the LDOE, Delaina worked in the Louisiana public school system as a high school Spanish teacher, and later as an administrator.

Delaina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, with a teaching certification in English, Social Studies, and Spanish.  She also holds a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Educational Leadership from McNeese State University, along with a Teacher Leader endorsement.

Delaina is a Texas transplant who has called Louisiana home for the past 25 years.
