Amy Rae Foss

Amy Rae Foss is a Director at Watershed Advisors. She brings more than 15 years of experience across K–12 education, with deep instructional expertise and a focus on advancing high-quality instruction, strengthening literacy outcomes, and supporting instructional systems across all subjects, pre-K through 12.

Before joining Watershed, Amy Rae served as a Senior Manager at TNTP, where she led cross-functional academic initiatives supporting districts across the United States. She also designed and facilitated national pre-service literacy learning at Teach For America, impacting more than 1,000 new teachers. Earlier in her career, she served as an instructional coach and teacher leader in North Carolina, supporting K–8 teachers in implementing evidence-based instructional practices. Across her work, she has focused on expanding access to high-quality instruction for multilingual learners and system-impacted youth.

Amy Rae began her career teaching middle school ELA in Arkansas as a Teach For America corps member. She holds a master’s degree in management. She lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she is also a licensed foster parent, CASA volunteer, and advocate for youth in the child welfare system.
