Abbie Nolan

Abbie Nolan believes that quality, comprehensive education is the key to better outcomes for students, educators, and communities. As an Analyst on the Products & Services team, she helps organizations develop and execute strategies that drive growth and impact across states, districts, and schools.

Before Watershed, Abbie worked at the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Center for Education, where she supported education sector development in partner countries. Her earlier experience spans classrooms and communities in the United States and abroad: removing health and social barriers to education in Boston’s public charter schools, teaching English at a vocational school in Cambodia, and coordinating a program for newly arrived immigrant students in the U.S. She is a published researcher on single-sex education in Uganda and education sector resilience in Finland.

Abbie holds an Ed.M. in Education Policy and Analysis from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, with a concentration in Global, International, and Comparative Education, and a B.A. in International Relations and English from Saint Anselm College. She currently lives in Chicago but will always be a New Yorker at heart.
