Jennifer Mendez

Originally from Cuba, Jen grew up in Miami, Florida, within a dynamic immigrant community. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Florida and taught English Language Arts and Reading to 6th and 7th graders. Following this experience, she pursued her M.P.P. in Education Policy from Vanderbilt University where she leveraged her analytical skills examining how innovative policy and research can support large-scale solutions for across different landscapes. 

Jen has experience in various education-related fields, including EdTech, education policy, and advocacy. She enjoys the strategic nature of envisioning, crafting, and implementing innovative and sustainable solutions to education’s biggest problems.  In her spare time, Jen likes to watercolor, read, and spend time with friends.
