Sydni Dunn

Sydni Dunn is a trusted communications strategist for leaders, entrepreneurs, and researchers working at the forefront of education innovation. 

Prior to launching her consulting business, Sydni served as Press Secretary and Director of Communications for the Louisiana Department of Education. Under the leadership of State Superintendent John White, Sydni was responsible for ensuring the agency’s communications and engagement strategies advanced Louisiana’s public education initiatives for children birth through grade 12.

Sydni previously led communications for the largest academic college at Louisiana State University. She began her career as a journalist for The Chronicle of Higher Education, where she wrote about the academic workplace and labor market. Her writing has also appeared in The New York Times and VICE.

Sydni earned her bachelor’s degree in mass communication, with a concentration in journalism, from Louisiana State University. She lives in Mobile, Ala., with her husband and dog.
